Q&A
  •  How do you differ from nutritionist or medical doctor?  I differ from both in that I believe that nature is the ultimate guide.  I have far more extensive knowledge (from school and otherwise) as compared to a nutritionist and have more clinical experience.  As for a medical doctor, I have many more hours in the classroom and understand the dynamic and safety of most herbs and supplements in relation to pharmaceutical drugs.  I have the same classic science and diagnostic training as a medical doctor, but many more nutrition hours.

  • Why should I go to you if insurance does not cover you? Regardless of insurance, visiting my office at least once, can help you get your health in the right direction.  My purpose is to eventually not see you ever again.  Think of yourself as a baby bird.  I will help you learn how to fly, ultimately you will and thus, fly away.

  • What can I do prior to an office visit with you?  You can download the Forms; write down what you have eaten for at least 3 days before the visit; Make a list of all your supplements/prescriptions, names and doses.

  • What are some of the issues people have that come see you?  People that come to me for help have issues ranging from mental/emotional diseases to just needing someone to talk to.  From chronic diseases to preventative health.  From something as simple as dry skin to as complicated as a multitude of infections and symptoms of disease that have not been helped.   You can see me for just personal training or a complete health/body/mind overhaul.

  • Can my family see you?  It is better if the whole family can better their lives, together.  One by one, you can support each other through some of the times of weakness and self-doubt.

  • Where can I purchase food?  You can purchase foods at organic farmer’s markets like the one in Union Square on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.  Whole Foods carries many organic vegetables and meat.  Trader Joes has a handful of good foods, just be careful and read the labels.  Contact local farms and see where they deliver.  Coops are a great opportunity to participate in sustainable living.

  • What should I stay away from if I cannot see you right away?   It is important to stay away from sugar, pasteurized dairy, and processed foods.  This will start the ball rolling.

  •  What is the difference between the supplements you suggest and supplements I can buy in a store?  The Supplements I suggest are made of foods, organic and clean.  They contain all the vital nutrients and enzymes necessary to assimilate and utilize the vitamins/minerals they contain.  Most vitamnins/minerals sold in stores are derivatives of the “whole nutrient” and most of the time are synthesized or extracted in a lab.  Also the synthesized nutrients are incomplete petroleum-based products.  Would you want to eat the whole apple or just the peel?
